Art and Design Courses
We are proud of our reputation for helping students progress from an initial interest in art and design to courses at universities and jobs. In our recent OFSTED inspection the Art Department was graded
'Good'and acclaimed for
'outstanding long courses'. Students from level 3
'showed particular flair'. We provide an education that prepares students for the world of work, whether as self-employed, or employed in related areas. As well as being fully qualified teachers, our tutors are professional artists and designers and have extensive links with industry. OFSTED cited,
'very effective links with the profession across the board and student success in national awards'.
Our studios and workshops are equipped to industry standards. Kensington and Chelsea College is committed to maintaining specialist provision for the arts. We have dedicated Ceramic, Jewellery and Glass studios, and Mac suites, to name only a few. We are one of the last remaining colleges in London to provide such a wide variety of specialist provision.
We offer a rich and diverse range of courses to inspire creativity and promote good design, providing both traditional skills and experimental design studies. You can tailor your study to suit your requirements, from 3 hours to 3 days a week. Whether you want to be a jeweller, interior or graphic designer, you will be taught the essential elements of what you need to successfully realise ideas and compete in the world of Art and Design.
