This course runs over 2 days per week – Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am till 4pm (3 – 4 days for students who are under 19).
For those who want a specialist hands on course in ceramics, glass or jewellery. Taught by practising makers the course will teach highly specialist practical skills and knowledge for 3-Dimensional design.
Alongside your studio practice this course covers general art and design principles, history of design, drawing skills and colour theory. These contextual elements will enable you to develop and stretch your own individual creative expression.
Course activities include museum and gallery visits, liaison with trade and industry and exploration into the context of contemporary crafts practice in the 21st century. Using these experiences you will to access a relevant network and produce a portfolio of design work to prepare you for your next level of study or work.
