The AAT Access award in Bookkeeping Level 1 offers the opportunity for students to study the fundamentals of bookkeeping. The qualification is aimed at people seeking a first qualification in bookkeeping and accounts. The skills developed by studying this qualification can lead to employment as an accounts assistant or progress to the next of level of learning.
The course covers:
• Understand the role of a bookkeeper
• Understand financial transactions
• Process customer and supplier transactions
• Process receipts and payments
How will I be assessed?
All AAT assessments are practical computer based and are scheduled by the training provider. Students’ results will simply state whether they are competent or not yet competent in the assessment.
KCC Students will be awarded the AAT level 1 award in Bookkeeping upon successful completion of the assessments at the end of the course.
AAT subscription fees of £43 are to be paid to AAT and this covers a period of 12 months.
There is no formal requirement to start the course however a good level of English, Maths and IT is required.
