Who is this course for?
A course for performers and producers aged 16+ who wish to develop practical skills for university and a career in the creative industries. Students should have previous music experience at GCSE, Level 2, Grade 5 or similar.
What qualification will I receive?
On completion, you receive a Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma, a nationally recognised qualification equivalent to 1.5 A-Levels.
Course length and timetable
A one-year full time programme, involving classes on 4 days per week during term-time.
The entry requirement for this course is a minimum of five GCSEs at grades A-C (or equivalent) and a successful audition. Applicants should prepare for:
• an interview
• a portfolio presentation
• an audition performance
• a written assessment
Additional assistance for 16-19 years
In addition to the course units that make up your main qualification, students get assistance with Maths and English, tutorials, career advice and work experience placements.
How will I be assessed?
A combination of practical work, written assignments and group projects.
