Our HND Photography course is a stimulating course that will enable you to meet the needs of the contemporary creative industry. It will allow you to develop as a professional self-reflecting individual, and will equip you with the skills to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment.
It is a part time course which will run one day a week for two years. During your studies, you will develop analytical thinking and explore contemporary photographic practices. You will be working in a supportive environment, while producing photographic work for the set project briefs independently. You will be using different format cameras and advanced lighting techniques in our well-equipped photographic studio. You will explore analogue photography and darkroom printing, as well as digital post-production techniques and will be encouraged to develop your ideas and photographic style. At the end of your studies you will have the opportunity to exhibit a body of your photographic work, so as to promote yourself in your chosen pathway. Throughout your journey you will be urged to work independently, while our experienced photographic team will continuously support you.
The Higher National Diploma (HND) is a continuation of the Higher National Certificate (HNC) course, so students should have completed a HNC program previously, which can then be built on to progress to study at HND.
