KEY INFO

Our motivating and enthusiastic team of Jewellery and Silversmithing lecturers are all practising makers and freelance commercial designers.

The Jewellery department has strong connections with the industry and events. It benefits from links with businesses in Hatton Garden as well as galleries, suppliers and exhibitions across London.

Whether you are looking for a substantial and certificated course that will prepare you for university, or simply want to have fun making jewellery in the evenings, we have a course which will suit you.

Our ‘Taster’ courses offer a fun way to try something new: two evenings sessions starting from 6.30.  Each of the taster courses offer a chance to learn a specific technique.

All of our ‘Introduction courses’ are four daytime sessions from 10am to 4pm. These courses also focus on specific making techniques. This allows enough time to understand and practice skills in more depth.

You can study taster and introduction courses individually or combined with another course.  We welcome complete beginners alongside those with previous experience.

If you are looking for something more substantial, perhaps one of our full year courses would suit you. Students who would like to enrol are expected to attend an interview:

  • Level 2 UAL Diploma or
  • Level 3 BTEC Certificate in Jewellery

If you already hold a qualification in jewellery and/or have previous experience in the studio you may be interested in our ‘Building Skills for the Advanced Jeweller’ course. This runs each term for one day per week. The course offers further tuition in our well-equipped studio while working alongside other makers and designers at a similar level.
