KEY INFO

Do you want to improve your English language conversation and writing skills? Would you like to gain a national ESOL qualification?

ESOL courses are for learners who want to improve their English language conversation and written skills in order to get a job or continue studying.

We will be focusing on speaking & listening in the autumn term, reading in the spring term and writing in the summer term.

Courses

Whichever level you study at you will:

  • increase your spoken fluency
  • widen your range of active vocabulary
  • develop proactive listening skills
  • improve your reading abilities
  • improve your understanding and accurate use of grammar for effective writing
  • develop study skills and learning strategies

There are no compulsory materials, except a folder and a pen. You will be provided with necessary hand-outs and other resources. The teacher will advise you on self- study materials, which you may choose to purchase, as well as free resources, which you will be encouraged to use. You will be able to make use of our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle).

How to enrol

You will need to attend an initial assessment and guidance session at the college so that you join the most appropriate course for your current language level. For other dates or further information, please call our hotline number 020 7573 3600 or email: esol@kcc.ac.uk.
