Craft and Interior Design Courses
The Craft and Interior Design Department embraces a rich and diverse range of courses to inspire creativity and promote good design, providing both traditional skills and experimental design studies.
Many of our courses offer nationally recognised qualifications, providing a strong foundation for progression from First Steps into Higher Education and employment, while others are designed to introduce students to particular areas of studies or for personal creative development.
Courses include Ceramics, Glass, Jewellery, and Interior Design, and our courses lead to a broad range of exciting careers within various industries including manufacturing, film, television, housing and craft production.
Courses are held in specialist, well equipped studios and workshops. You will benefit from being near the Victoria and Albert Museum, where we make frequent visits as part of our Design studies. You will be taught by a strong team of experienced and dynamic lecturers providing support and specialist guidance. On all courses, students are expected to buy their own materials, paper and some basic hand tools; these items can generally be purchased from the College. Most courses have an additional fee to cover the costs of shared material and photocopying, payable to the course tutor at the beginning of each term.
