HNC Fine Art Show at Kensington & Chelsea College
23rd June 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
First year Fine Art students at Kensington and Chelsea College will be exhibiting the culmination of their year’s work at KCC’s Chelsea site from 23rd June.
The HNC is one of the most successful fine art courses in London, with alumni including Turner Prize nominee Spartacus Chetwynd and Jerwood painting fellow Susan Sluggett. HNC students progress on to BA and MA courses at colleges such as the Royal College, Chelsea, Camberwell and Goldsmiths, with an increasing number now completing KCC’s new BA top up, validated by London South Bank University.
HNC course director Greg Rook said: “As the government’s Higher Education fee increases continue to take effect, KCC’s HNC/HND and BA top up Fine Art courses stand up well against other London Art colleges. Not only are our fees considerably lower but we now also offer delivery of a BA over three distinct years. Our alumni demonstrate our long standing success at helping students progress to the highest levels. This year’s HNC students, ‘Thirteen’, produced one of our best mid-year shows ever and we are expecting another exciting and relevant show from them on June 23rd.” The exhibition will be held in the Hortensia Gallery on the ground floor of the Chelsea Building.
