Art Exhibition Creation and Evolution

Creation and Evolution

A collection of artwork produced through Kensington and Chelsea College's Offender Learning Provision is set to make its exhibition debut.

'Creation & Evolution' brings together an eclectic collection of more than 50 works produced through prison based art classes, from across nine London Prisons.

Matthew Kolakowski, the College's Performance Manager for Fine Art, said: "The exhibition is recognition of the creative endeavours of the offenders involved in art education and is thereby also an affirmation of the work of the tutors and the college in its contribution to rehabilitation of offenders."

The free exhibition takes place at Hortensia Gallery, based in Kensington and Chelsea College, and runs from April 12 - 28, 2011.

A special Private Viewing is being held on Thursday April 14, 2011 to mark the opening of the exhibition. Guests can visit the gallery daily from 10.00am - 5.00pm
