Gateway Programme - Learning Difficulties and Disabilities
Our Gateway Programme is designed to support 16-24 year olds with learning difficulties or disabilities (LDD). Students study towards Foundation Learning qualifications in:
- Functional Skills: English, Maths, and IT
- Personal and Social Development
- A vocational area (Painting and Decorating, Hair and Beauty, Motorcycle Maintenance, or Graphic Design)
Qualifications are delivered at Entry Level or Level 1, depending on individuals' ability. The units below are offered as a complete package, delivered full-time throughout the year, with students choosing one vocational area. Class sizes are small, around 12 people, and supported by learning mentors.
