Beauty Therapy Courses

The new Beauty Therapy section of Kensington and Chelsea College has already developed a strong reputation as a first class training centre. Highly trained and experienced staff teach students in our brand new, fully equipped beauty salon. Students will develop new skills and learn client procedures in a friendly, professional, and supportive environment. Introductory, part-time and substantial courses provide the opportunity to gain qualifications in preparation for a career in beauty therapy.

Introduction to Threading ( 11SAB007 )

Threading has become extremely popular due to growing demand from clients. On this course you will learn how to shape well defined eyebrows as well as facial and body hair removal. You will also learn about Health & Safety, contra-indications, contra-actions and aftercare advice as well as basic introduction to the anatomy of the hair structure and hair growth cycle. On completion of this course you will receive certificate of attendance for Introduction to Threading.

The aim of this award is to increase your awareness of work related Contact Dermatitis. The Level 2 Award in Contact Dermatitis Prevention will allow you to identify the characteristics and causes of Contact Dermatitis and know how to prevent it occurring. Ideal for anyone that spends time with wet hands or use chemicals - perhaps shampooing hair, washing and preparing food, cleaning or working in an engineering job.
