Counselling Service
The College Counselling Service is available to help you with any personal difficulties that you may be experiencing during your time at the College. These issues may be related your studies, such as stress, anxiety about exams or concerns about return to study, but there may also be personal issues at home or at work that are causing you difficulty in some way. The counsellors are not here to advise you but are available to listen to your concerns and support you in finding your own solutions. The service is free and confidential. Sessions take place during term times at the Hortensia and Wornington Centres, although the service is available to students attending any of the College sites. Even if you are unsure about whether counselling can help you, please do get in touch to talk it over and find out.
All College counsellors subscribe to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

There are lifts at the Marlborough, Wornington and Transition Skills Centre a and chair lift at Maxilla. The Hortensia centre will be fully accessible from September 2011 (except for some of the Carlyle building). Where possible we can arrange for a class to take place at ground level. Support and advice are always important during your studies. For this reason all students have an Individual tutorial each term where they discuss their progress and plan action to improve their performance. Full-time students also have weekly group tutorials where they focus on developing personal and social skills to improve their chances of being successful in education and work.

College Youth Workers organise a range of activities across the College throughout the year for all students.
