  This is for complete beginners who want a short but comprehensive introduction to Italian, enabling them to communicate in everyday situations. This course is practical and covers speaking skills. Teaching methods include formal instruction, pair and group work, role-plays, games, discussions and tutorials. Video and audio tasks are also used.

  Suitable for you if you have some previous knowledge or have studied for 120 hours or have equivalent experience in Italian. This course is designed to help students improve their communicative skills and fluency in Italian. Grammar is taught in an integrated way. Formal instruction, pair/group work, listening, reading and comprehension exercises, presentations, discussions and tutorials are all part of the course.

• Italian GCSE (Foundation) Short Course ( 11DIT148 )

  Level 2

  Qualification

  These courses are the continuation of Fast Track. You must have some previous learning of Italian, approximately 30 hours tuition or equivalent. Your level of language skills will be assessed by means of a test and an interview prior to enrolment. These courses cover reading, writing, listening and speaking. Grammar is taught in an integrated way. The emphasis is on the communicative method of learning. Formal instruction, pair/group work, listening, reading and comprehension exercises, role plays, games, discussions and tutorials are all part of the course. Use is also made of Moodle and it's on-line content. The exam board is EDEXCEL. Mock exams are held throughout the course. Final exams are in May and June and consist of three written papers and one oral. A minimum of 3 hours per week home study is required
