A large variety of Spanish Language Courses, ranging from beginners to advanced, are delivered both, in day and evening classes in our London venue at Hortensia Road. Our language specialists will assess your level and advise you to join the appropriate Spanish course to facilitate your learning. Your progression will be monitored by our well qualified and experienced team of native lecturers. Emphasis is on the communicative approach to learning, involving all four skills, with an insight into Spanish and Latin American cultures. Our high success rate in GCSE, AS and A Level Spanish courses make us one of the most popular FE Colleges in London.

Qualification
For beginners who wish to progress at a gentle pace and gain a qualification in two terms. This course is practical and focuses mainly on the skills of speaking and listening. The emphasis is on the communicative method of learning. Grammar is taught in an integrated way.

Return to Spanish [Post-beginners] ( 11DSP567 )
This course is lively and communicative! It is designed to improve your skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Teaching methods include: formal instruction, pair and group work, role-plays, games, discussions and tutorials. Video and audio tapes are also used. If you have completed the Spanish for beginners course which started last September, or any equivalent experience around 40 hours of studying the language then this is the course for you. Upon completion you can join an intermediate course the following year.

Suitable for you if you have some previous knowledge or have studied for 120 hours or equivalent experience in Spanish. This course is designed to help students improve their communicative skills and fluency in Spanish. Grammar is taught in an integrated way. Formal instruction, pair/group work, listening, reading and comprehension exercises, presentations, discussions and tutorials are all part of the course.

Spanish GCSE (Foundation) Short Course ( 11DSP170 )

Qualification
You must have some previous learning of the language of approximately 30 hours tuition or the equivalent experience of speaking and reading in the language. Your level of language skill will be assessed by means of a test and an interview prior to enrolment. This course covers reading, writing, listening and speaking. Grammar is taught in an integrated way. The emphasis is on the communicative method of learning. Formal instruction, pair/group work, listening, reading and comprehension exercises, role plays, games, discussions and tutorials are all part of the course. Use is also made of visual and audio materials. Past exam papers are used in class activities to help prepare students for the final Edexcel exams, held in May and June. All four language skills are assessed. A minimum of 3 hours home study per week is required.

Spanish Advanced Conversation - Tertulia ( 11DSP570 )
This course is suitable for students who have an advanced or nearly advanced knowledge of Spanish, and are interested in discussing Spanish and Latin American current affairs. Most of the classroom material will be taken straight from the Internet. Also important aspects of Hispanic culture will be analyzed and discussed together with the students.
