Kensington and Chelsea College offers a range of singing lessons from short courses to full time accredited programmes. Courses cater for all levels of ability, from the absolute beginner to the more experienced singers. We are committed to improving confidence through a strong emphasis on developing live performance skills in order to produce well-rounded Artists.
Courses focus on contemporary singing styles and developing repertoire. Our teachers draw on years of professional experience in the music industry and continue to work within it, enabling them to impart a wealth of practical knowledge and skills.

Courses and Fees
Singing Lessons: Solo Singing for Intermediates ( 11GMI004 )
This course is designed for those who have some singing experience and would like to develop this further. You will work on vocal techniques, pitching and rhythm exercises, improvising and harmony work. Focus will also be placed on; understanding your vocal range, quality of tone, and use of vocal dynamics and techniques in order to improve your overall solo performance. So whether you are an actor or dancer wanting to develop your voice for audition purposes, or someone who wants the confidence to sing in front of an audience, this class is for you. The ability to sing in tune is an essential requirement for this course and a short assessment will be required during the first session.

Qualification
This course covers musicianship for stage performance, playing as part of a musical ensemble, music technology and music business. Anyone wishing to join this course must have knowledge of basic major and minor chords or a minimum of grade 3 in their chosen instrument. Entry into the course will be through an interview and audition to assess musical ability.

This full-time course has been designed for vocal singers wishing to develop their singing and performance techniques, and gain essential knowledge of the music industry. It will cover: Solo Singing, Performance Techniques, Rehearsal Skills, Concert Promotion, Stage Management, Choir Ensemble Singing and Artist Development. Entry into the course will be through an interview and audition to assess musical ability.

"For those who have always wanted to ‘find their voice’ and develop the confidence to sing, in a warm friendly atmosphere. You will be taught vocal techniques i.e. correct breathing and vocal warm up exercises and practice pitching and rhythmic techniques that will help you. Whether you are an actor or dancer wanting to develop your singing voice for audition purposes, or someone who just wants the confidence to sing kareoke, this class is for you. Some prior performance experience in any of the Arts is an advantage but not essential. A short assessment will be required during the first session."
