College Seeks Charmer For Valentine's

Your favourite chat up line could get you more than you bargained for this Valentine’s. Kensington and Chelsea College is searching for the borough’s ultimate Valentine’s Day charmer.

The college’s Hair and Beauty Salon is running a competition aptly named ‘Do you come here often?’ to find out who has the winning lines for Valentine’s Day.

Miranda Dickson, Beauty Therapy Technician, at Kensington and Chelsea College, said: “We’ve all heard great chat up lines but now the heat is on to find the ultimate charmer! Young or old, boy or girl, we want to hear the best that Kensington and Chelsea has to offer when it comes to the swoon factor.”

The lucky winner will get to choose their very own mini pamper package from a selection of deluxe hair and beauty treatments which includes a facial, make-up application, manicure, temporary curls, hair conditioning treatment and blow-dry. There is also a runner-up prize offering one treatment from the listed selection.

The college operates a fully functioning training salon which is open to the public and based at Wornington Centre, Wornington Road.

Guests get to enjoy the same perks and services offered by many contemporary city salons but at less than half the price.

The recession beating training salon is also home to some of the most cutting edge hair and beauty student talent who get to showcase their skills on the local community. Services are provided by fully supervised students undergoing NVQ study.

To be in with a chance of winning the mini pamper package jot down your best chat-up line with name, address and contact details and either email it to or post it to:
