Kensington and Chelsea College students, together with a local community group, earlier this month renovated a space to be used as a Drop In for mothers and children in the area.

In two days a group of 10 painting and decorating students from the College transformed the space into a clean, bright environment for young children to enjoy.

KCC Painting and Decorating lecturer Su Wigley said the students had plenty of fun and worked hard at the project.

" It was a great team building exercise and the team enjoyed working in a different atmosphere," she said. "It was good to help a local project."

She said some students came back in their own time to help finish the Drop In so that it could be opened as soon as possible.
