Did You Know Many Of Our Courses Are Supported By The European Social Fund (ESF)?
The European Union funds and co-funds some of the College’s programmes – particularly for unemployed people – mainly through the ESF.
The ESF is devoted to promoting employment in the EU and making Europe’s workforce and companies better equipped to face new, global challenges. The ESF was also set up to reduce differences in prosperity and living standards across EU Member States and regions, and therefore promoting economic and social cohesion.
Their strategy and budget is negotiated and decided between the EU Member States, the European Parliament and the Commission. And once they have decided on their operational plans, it is then implemented through a wide range of organisations including educational and training institutions such as KCC.
