HNC Fine Art Students host their mid-term show “Half Way Mark” at Hortensia Gallery

Private View: 11 March 6pm – 9pm

Exhibition runs: 12 – 26 March
Monday – Friday, 10am – 8pm

The students taking this intensive one year post-foundation course will present a wide variety of work encompassing painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, installation and time-based media.

According to the course director Brian Deighton, the show not only provides the students with the experience of organising and showing an exhibition, but also allows visitors to spot emerging talents. The standard of work exhibited at the HNC’s show is regarded as extremely high, and students at this course have gone on to attend the most prestigious art schools in the country.

The tutors teaching the course include Erika Winstone, Jane Eyton, Mark Dean, Maria Zahle, Brian Deighton, Caroline List, Bruce Tanner, Matthew Kolokowski and visiting tutors.

The exhibiting artists are: Cibele Avarenga, Emer Costello, Justus Cox, Luke Darlison, Hilary Donald, Ferney Duero, Marcelo Duchen Rodriguez, Bruno Giordano, Esperanza Gomez Carrera, Saffron Hewitt, Jillian Knipe, Verica Krsmonovic, Martin Lincoln, Sophie Macdonald, Mindy Maher, Linda Mattock, Shari Miller, Rory O’Connor, Liesbet Paterson, Julia Paxman, Sophie Posgate, Laurence Leng-Rassat, Rachel Thomson-Glover, Max Valizadeh, Cocky Visser, and Ian Warner.
