Interior Design Students Get Outstanding Job Opportunities

Six talented HNC (Higher National Certificate) Interior Design students have each been contacted with job opportunities after exhibiting a collection of their stunning work at this year’s prestigious New Designers Show in Islington.

For the second year running, students from Kensington and Chelsea College joined other graduating designers from around the country to showcase their work to the design savy public and industry employers.

The students showcased their collection of glass, metal and ceramics at the Business Design Centre, Upper Street, Islington from the 1-4 July.

The exhibiting students were: Anna Ogulewicz, Greta Gurnaite, Natasha Hughes, Adam Hopkins, Naheed Monsur and Naomi Dook.

The employers were very impressed with the students’ professionalism and diversity of work on display, resulting in several offering paid internships to the students.

Student Anna Ogulewicz is incredibly excited about her future:

It was a very exciting opportunity to showcase some of my work in such a high profile setting.  Working with one of these companies, will enable me to learn everything I need to open up my own business in the future Anna Ogulewicz

Alya Rizvi, Head of Interior Design at Kensington and Chelsea College commented:

We’re really proud of our HNC students this year.  They showed real professionalism in both preparing for and exhibiting at the event.  It’s fantastic that the employers recognised their hard work and we’re really excited about the opportunities they have offered our students Alya Rizvi

Linking with relevant employers is a key part of the HNC course, which starts every September for one year at the Kensington Centre near trendy Portabella Road.
