International Lunch Has The Right Ingredients For Celebrating Diversity
Childcare students recently laid on culinary treats from around the world to celebrate the diverse range of cultures found at Kensington and Chelsea College.
The event took place at the college’s Marlborough Centre in Sloane Avenue and was organised by students who brought in traditional foods to reflect their cultural heritage.
Mouth watering recipes from Barbados, Somalia, Bangladesh, Greece, Transylvania, Jamaica, Morocco, Italy, Eritrea, England and India were all part of the international spread.
Students were encouraged to share information about their different cultures whilst tucking into the food.
Childcare tutor Tracie Fryer-Kanssen, said: ‘The variety of food brought in was a brilliant example of how diverse we are as a college and a great way to explore other cultures.’
