Kensington and Chelsea College is supporting Colleges Week, a national celebration of the opportunities colleges create for individuals, businesses and the country, taking place from 9-15 November 2009. During the week, the College is hosting 2 College and Community events at its centres.
As part of Colleges Week, students at Kensington and Chelsea College are also being encouraged to take part in the national ‘I’m running the show’ film making competition, to win fantastic opportunities including the chance to talk tactics with Sven Goran Eriksson, chat to an astronaut or shadow Sir Stuart Rose Chief Executive of Marks & Spencer.
Also during the week, Kensington and Chelsea College will be holding a launch event for its recently refurbished Maxilla Walk Centre, home to a brand new hair and beauty studio, a painting and decorating training suite and a motorcycle maintenance garage. The college will also be hosting an Open Day at its Wornington Road Centre, where prospective students can come and visit, meet tutors and see the range of exciting subjects the college has to offer.
Kensington and Chelsea College Principal Mike Jutsum says: “We are delighted to support Colleges Week, it is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the important role that colleges play in our communities.”
