Student Designs Get Snapped Up at Portobello Market

Kensington and Chelsea College Design Students at Portabello Market

Kensington and Chelsea College design students proved a big hit with locals and tourists when they started selling their work at Portobello Market as part of the Love Your Local Market Campaign.

The national campaign took place in mid-May with aim of promoting local markets up and down the country. KCC students hosted stalls selling unique pieces of work they had created including jewellery and framed artwork showcasing some of the highlights of the local area.

The students from Level 3 Graphic Design, Interior Design and Professional Development Designer Makers courses made over £100 from the sales and are hoping to put the money towards a good cause.

The college is also running a range of short courses in design as part of its Summer School Programme. Why not try your hand at one them, and learn a skill that could open doors to a new career.
