A series of exhibitions and awards ceremonies celebrating student success are taking place at Kensington and Chelsea College to mark Vocational Qualification (VQ) Day 2011.
As a specialist vocational college offering more than 900 courses, Kensington and Chelsea College is proud to support VQ Day, which celebrates vocational achievement across the UK and is a celebration of people who have gained vocational qualifications.
To coincide with the national event on June 22, the college is hosting its annual Learner Achievement Awards, which pays tribute to the successes of students across the college.
As part of celebrations falling on VQ Day the college is also hosting a graduation ceremony for its Hairdressing students, who will also be awarded prizes on the night for the best hairstyles designed for an in-house styling competition.
Guests are also being invited to the college as part of VQ Day to enjoy a selection of art and design exhibits being showcased at the college in June and July.
HNC Fine Art students will be hosting their exhibition –
‘Anon’ – from Thursday June 23 until Friday July 1 at the college’s Hortensia Gallery on Hortensia Road, London SW10 0QS.
Design students will also be displaying their work for the college’s end of year Art and Design Show taking place at the college’s Wornington Centre, Wornington Road,W10 5QQ. The exhibition runs from June 29-July 4 and is free to attend.
