Two of Kensington and Chelsea College’s emerging designers earned a prestigious award from the world renowned V&A Museum recently.
Malvinka Bitelli, studying Art and design: Glass and Millinery student Eleanor Vallerini, both earned a coveted first prize win for the categories they were shortlisted in for the V&A’s Be Inspired Competition.
The prize winning duo beat hundreds of entries from across the nation to win their award.
As part of the competition Malvinka and Eleanor will also exhibit at the museum between June 4 and July 3.
Entrants were required to draw their inspiration for the competition from collections featured in V&A South Kensington, or the V&A Museum of Childhood.
Malvinka said: “I’m absolutely thrilled at being given the chance to exhibit my work at the V&A.”
Eleanor added: “I’m very excited about exhibiting at the V&A. I can’t believe I’ve been given such a great opportunity for exposure. My dream is to set up a small business designing hats, and this is definitely a step in the right direction!”
