Javed Ahmed
Entry to Employment helps young people between the ages of 16 and 19 to gain jobs in their chosen field by improving their reading, writing, maths and computer skills, as well as preparing them for the workforce.
Seventeen-year-old Javed Ahmed found himself unemployed after leaving school and decided to come to KCC for help in finding a job.
Before the team found Javed a job they also helped him to pass his GCSE maths.
"I enjoyed the support and guidance I received from all the staff. I am much more confident and now have a clear idea of what I want to do with my career," says Javed.
E2E found Javed an apprenticeship role as an executive assistant and he is now on the path to becoming a business executive.
"If it wasn't for e2e I would still be looking for a job and wondering what I want to do with my life."
