Tanya Lalkov
Tanya Lalkov, 34, came to England from Macedonia to improve her English and continue with her teaching studies. She was presented with a Learner Achievement Award this year.
I started off studying a Level 1 Childcare course and decided to continue on to the Level 2 NVQ which is when I got the job as SEN Teacher Assistant.
The tutors at KCC are very understanding, helpful and supportive. I am now much more confident speaking English and, as a full-time mother, the course worked out perfectly for me. I plan to go onto a higher level with my teaching.
