Debora Bonemei
Debora Bonemei, at 34, gave up a career in finance to follow her dream of becoming a dancer. Completing the Dance BTEC Level Three has allowed her to focus on what she is truly passionate about.
I always thought that a career in dance would be tough to pursue, but the positive support I received from my tutors at KCC encouraged me to keep at it and not give up. The course helped me to understand what I really wanted out of life and how to achieve it. Before I enrolled I was worried about the age factor - I thought it might become an obstacle, but not once throughout the whole year did I ever feel like it was a problem. Meeting people on the course from different backgrounds, who all shared the same dream, made me realise that it was possible to reach my goals. The KCC course has opened many doors and turned my dream from a fantasy into reality.
