Active Planet
Phil Amos, Project Director for Active Planet, says:
The Apprenticeship programme is great introduction to the workplace and has allowed Active Planet to expand its work in the community. Being part of the programme has helped develop the organisation.
The apprentice we have attending the college has been a huge asset to the company and will certainly continue to work for us.
I would encourage other businesses to think about being part of the Apprenticeship Programme, especially as it's a great way to give young people a chance in the workplace and give them the experience they need that is beyond any schooling in order to be more employable.
Employers also get a lot from it as it encourages fresh new thinking and ensures the workforce is skilled to meet the needs of the business.
Active Planet is a not for profit organisation that uses sport and training as a tool to break down community boundaries.
