Gary Wort
Gary Wort, a Metropolitan Police Westminster Borough Trainer, undertook a one-week PTTLS teacher training course to enable him to lead training sessions at work.
Speaking about the course and training on the job Gary said:
I had to attend the course as it is part of my training to be a trainer. It has now given me the tools to be a competent and confident trainer. It will also help me when I retire and will be looking for employment in training.
The course was well paced and had good material content. I have gained the skills I need to fulfil my job. It has also given me a lot of good teaching tips. The college location and facilities were excellent and the tutors were brilliant. They were very helpful and knowledgeable and always willing to take that extra time if you needed help, support or advice whilst on the course.
For me, the benefit of training on the job was that I've been a trainer already for 6 months and the course has helped reinforce what I already know, in addition to giving me more knowledge to be an even better trainer.
