Funding for Higher Education courses at Kensington and Chelsea College
Government loan for tuition fees and maintenance
Students on our HNC / HND and Foundation Degree courses are eligible for financial support through ‘Student Finance England’ to help with a loan for the course fee and for a maintenance loan and grant to support living expenses whilst on the course.
Students themselves apply directly for this support and the money for the course fee is paid directly to the college. The course fee loan application is not means tested, however maintenance support is and you will need to submit proof of income to Student Finance England during the application process.
You will not be liable to pay for any of the course fees up front if you meet the criteria. You only start paying back the loan once earning above £21,000 a year.

College Access to Learning fund
Additionally, Kensington and Chelsea College has an ‘Access to Learning Fund’ open to Higher Education students. This is designed to help those in hardship with costs for books and materials. You can apply for this during your course.
