Kensington and Chelsea College has two centres based in vibrant and exciting locations in the heart of London; our Chelsea Centre is by the famous King’s Road, whilst our Kensington Centre is in the heart of trendy Portobello. Each centre is an important hub for the local community and we work with local organisations to offer work opportunities and a range of practical courses in and around the borough.
Nearby organisations we work with include The Curve Community Centre, AlManaar Mosque and Rugby Portobello Trust. Examples of our community-based work include:
- running courses to help local residents into employment
- teach English in community locations
- arts classes for borough residents affected by the Grenfell tragedy.
The College also works with a number of education partners to deliver training in partnership and in college centres. These include:
Rhythm Studio – a range of practical music courses.
Notting Hill Academy of Music – courses in music industry management, song writing and A&R. Courses are taught by industry experts at Kensington and Chelsea College and otwer centres in the area. Their vocational courses prepare students for the ever changing music industry.
Academy One Sports – Sports qualifications taught with an emphasis on sports science and practical fitness and skills.
