This course runs over 2 days per week for adults – Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00 to 4:00 (and 3 days for students who are under 19 working with interior design and architecture topics)

The course is project based and students are given encouragement and support to develop their personal ideas. There is also a strong commitment to the development of 2D and 3D on glass making skills as a tool for the communication of ideas. This programme covers a variety of techniques from architectural stained glass, surface decoration on glass, mould making as well as kiln formed glass.

Alongside studio practice, this course covers general art and design principles, history of design, drawing skills and colour theory. Course activities include museum and gallery visits, liaison with trade and industry and exploration into the context of contemporary art and design practice in the 21st century. Using these experiences students will access a relevant network and produce a portfolio of design work to prepare them for the next level of study or work.
