Gun is a mother of 3 who had previously studied hairdressing in Korea. When she moved to the UK ten years ago she did a dressmaking course. Later she came to Kensington and Chelsea College to study Fashion Portfolio Preparation (level 2) and then the BTEC National Diploma in Fashion and Clothing (level 3).

Gun has managed her studies well, working in the evenings after her children have gone to bed. Gun is now looking forward to studying BA Tailoring at the London College of Fashion. Her dream is to land a job in fashion and gain enough experience to one day start her own fashion range.

“I really enjoyed the technical parts of the course: pattern cutting, garment construction and design development. It has improved my confidence in what I can do. The course has taught me a lot – each term I improved, and my tutor was great. If I look at sketchbooks from when I started here, I can see a huge difference – I can see the improvement.”
