After working in the NHS for several years, Julie Golding decided it was time for a change and started looking into a career in teaching.

“I read lots of information online, but realised I needed to speak to a qualified expert to fully understand the route into teaching, the courses and options available to me, and the support that was out there for people who wanted to change career.”

Thanks to the Open Day Julie was set on the path to becoming a high-achieving qualified teacher.

Since then Julie has gone on to complete the College’s PTLLS course (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) in conjunction with Canterbury Christ Church University, the DTLLS course (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector), as well as the PGCE, also in conjunction with Canterbury Christ Church University. Having successfully completed all three courses Julie has gone on to employment with Ofsted grade 1 teaching departments, as well as becoming an Ofsted rated grade 1 teacher herself.
