Access to Higher Education Diplomas are for anyone who is considering going to university but doesn’t have the qualifications they need.
You have to be 19 plus to apply for these courses. For health courses you will need to have both your GCSEs in Maths and English grade C/4, for humanities courses this is also preferable but you can study one GCSE alongside your access course. However this is a big commitment and you may wish to consider securing your GCSE qualification first.
Completion of an Access course enables progression to study at degree level. Many of our students go on to study at Britain’s most prestigious universities.
Access students can apply for a loan to cover your tuition fees. If you progress to complete a degree course, you do not have to repay the loan. For more information on funding please go to our Adult Learners section
