Fashion students snapped up by leading universities

Students on Morley College’s Level 3 and 4 Fashion courses at Chelsea are always in high demand from top universities, but this year’s cohort are setting new standards for offers. 100% of students on the ‘Extended Diploma’ and ‘Foundation’ courses have received 3 or more offers following UCAS interviews taking place so far this year.

When the university year starts in September, students from our Extended Diploma (Level 3) will be heading to institutions including University of Arts London (UAL), Ravensbourne and University of the Creative Arts.

One student, Melika Mohammadi, has been offered a place on the world-renowned Womenswear degree at Central Saint Martins. Course Director Yvette Blundell describes this achievement as “highly exceptional for a student of her age completing a Level 3 course”.

Fellow student Isa Sheikh, who is hoping to go to University of Westminster, said: “I am so happy to be studying here! My skills and knowledge improved no end over the two year course, and I am developing my own ‘structural’ style of design by bringing in influences from architecture.”

Meanwhile, over a third of students on our Foundation (Level 4) course have already been offered a place on fashion degree courses at Central Saint Martins. Course Director Susan Baker said:
“I am so proud of the whole group. All the students have multiple offers with many gaining offers from every HE course they applied for. Despite the College studios closing due to the Coronavirus, they are responding brilliantly to online teaching and are working hard on their Final Major Projects.”

Degree courses that Chelsea students are progressing on to include men’s and women’s wear, fashion promotion, textile design, costume and visual communication.
